What to include
- Describe the occasion and approximate quantity.
- Ask about packaging and advance ordering.
- Clarify ingredients directly for any individual requirements.
An example you can adapt
Illustrative wording. Replace the sample details with your own.
I am looking for Indian sweets for a small family celebration and would prefer individually packed portions. Has anyone recently placed an advance order locally? I would appreciate experience with ordering and pickup, rather than only a favorite sweet name.
Put the plan into practice
Useful recommendation requests explain the constraints that matter to you. Give an area, an occasion, and the details you need someone to confirm. A first-hand explanation is easier to evaluate than a list of business names, so ask what the person actually tried and how recently.
- State the location and the decision you need to make.
- Ask for experience relevant to your specific constraints.
- Verify current details with the recommended business or organizer.
Do not assume a shop can reproduce a previous order on your date. Confirm quantity, timing, and packaging directly.
A practical question
What should I ask beyond which sweets taste good?
Ask about the ordering process, portion format, packaging, and pickup experience relevant to your occasion.
